What's included in our vehicle health checks?
To keep you moving we’ll check the following:
- Engine - all fluids and oils are checked and any leaks located
- Transmission / Clutch - these can be checked on our test drive to ensure all is good
- Brakes - brakes are checked to ensure there are no heavy wear
- Tyres - we will check the overall condition of your tyres including the tread depth and pressure
- Battery – we will test the batteries charge to make sure your car starts in the mornings
- Coolant - we will check the strength and levels
- Wiper blades - we will check for splits or damage
- Operation of the windscreen wash system - we will check that the system is working correctly as well as the level of screen wash (we will even top this up for you if needed)
- Light bulbs – faulty or broken bulbs should be replaced to avoid being pulled over by the police
- Road test of up to 5 or 10 miles (depending on the vehicle type, road conditions, traffic, fuel level and engineer's judgement) - we will check for any odd noises that your car shouldn't be making.
Once your check has been completed, our trained technicians will discuss the report with you and provide help and guidance if any elements do not meet the safety requirements.

Our health checks are £99. Alternatively, if you book a full service the health check comes free!
How long does a vehicle safety check take?
Depending on the type and model of your car, a vehicle health check can take anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour. We come to you so you can arrange this for a time that suits you, any time or day so you can sit back and relax either at home or work! We'll let you know once the health check is complete.
Is a vehicle health check the same as an MOT?
No, a vehicle health check is a comprehensive inspection of your car's condition, including the tyres, battery, lights and fluid levels. We offer this service as a way to highlight and prevent some of the most common areas that can go wrong. An MOT, on the other hand, is a legal requirement for all cars over three years old in the UK.
